The goal of the material coordinator is to eliminate down time for production and assist in identifying and solving material issues. The priority of the material coordinator is to ensure production has the material required to produce chassis’ in a timely manner. When material needs arise, the material coordinator retrieves or calls for the material and then work with the production team to identify why there is a material need following the process outlined below and taking necessary action to resolve.   Essential Functions - Investigating any/all material issues at plant level. - Delivering all parts calls to the line. - Enter all parts calls into LCI Audit app and reporting all material BOM & print issues to the appropriate lead(s). - Supporting production with parts needed until production releases. - Participates in all Warehouse functions and observes all safety requirements. - Dedicated to production. - Fulfills all material needs for production. - Communicate all material shortages to the consumption and inventory teams. - Must complete Part call sheets daily. - Arranges delivery of part shortages. - Works in partnership with manufacturing managers, Line team leads, line leads, line team members, and QC to address BOM and print inaccuracies. - Reports BOM and print inaccuracies to the consumption team. - Reports inaccuracies from the part boxes to the consumption team. - Identifies and arranges for the return of extra parts to the material pad. - Working in partnership with the consumption team for scheduling changes to ensure part boxes are ready for production in a timely manner. - Inspects all incoming part boxes to ensure integrity of work and to address any issues prior to production using the part boxes. - Uses daily production schedule to monitor production rate to ensure part boxes are ready for change overs. - Track scrapped parts to ensure they are removed from inventory. - Working in partnership with production utility for front/back of line housekeeping. - Monitors and arranges for the return of all material dunnage to material pad. - Meet Division metric requirements. - Participates in morning meeting/safety huddle. Upholsterers make/assemble furniture and products for Lippert Interiors. This position requires making, repairing, or replacing upholstery for furniture/products.   Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Stretch webbing and fabric, using webbing stretchers. - Collaborate with interior designers to decorate rooms and coordinate furnishing fabrics. - Maintain records of time required to perform each job. - Pick up and deliver furniture. - Repair furniture frames and refinish exposed wood. - Adjust or replace webbing, padding, and/or springs, and secure them in place. - Attach bindings or apply solutions to edges of cut material to prevent raveling. - Attach fasteners, grommets, buttons, buckles, ornamental trim, and other accessories to covers or frames, using hand tools. - Build furniture up with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt, and/or foam padding to form smooth rounded surfaces. - Design upholstery cover patterns and cutting plans, based on sketches, customer descriptions, or blueprints. - Discuss upholstery fabrics, colors, and styles with customers, and provide cost estimates. - Draw cutting lines on material following patterns, templates, sketches, or blueprints, using chalk, pencils, paint, or other methods. - Examine furniture frames, upholstery, springs, and webbing to locate defects. - Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, and/or staples. - Interweave and fasten strips of webbing to the backs and undersides of furniture, using small hand tools and fasteners. - Make, repair, and/or replace automobile upholstery and convertible and vinyl tops, using knowledge of fabric and upholstery methods. - Make, restore, and/or create custom upholstered furniture, using hand tools and knowledge of fabrics and upholstery methods. - Measure and cut new covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments, following sketches and design specifications. - Operate sewing machines or sew upholstery by hand to seam cushions and join various sections of covering material. - Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience with materials in order to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover work pieces. - Remove covering, webbing, padding, and/or defective springs from work pieces, using hand tools such as hammers and tack pullers. - Sew rips or tears in material, or create tufting, using needles and thread.
