JOB DESCRIPTION:  BOXER/SERVER                                                                                Under the directions of the Materials Lead, incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safe packing and shipment of glass and other materials to be distributed to customers.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   DUTIES - Constructs boxes for the purpose of packing glass to be shipped; - Ensures that all parts to be shipped out are packed in boxes, banded accurately and that all glass is secure and ready for shipment; - Loads full boxes into trucks for shipment; - Observes and adheres to all safety related rules and procedures; - Assisting in departmental housekeeping, maintaining a clean and orderly work station; - Performs other duties as assigned;   REQUIREMENTS - Must have the ability to utilize hand tools including air hammers; - Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions; - Must have ability to do simple calculations; - Must be able to communicate effectively; - Must be able to drive a tow motor and maintain appropriate certification.   DIFFICULTY OF WORK The work consists of tasks or duties requiring some previous knowledge and understanding. General Prefurnace Personnel  - 3rd Shift                                 Incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of functions within the pre-furnace area on a generalized basis to ensure the appropriate preparation of glass before bending, tempering and shipping.      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   DUTIES - Maintains materials and supplies used in pre-furnace operations; - Monitors equipment and maintains production standards as necessary; - Breaks out glass based on appropriate specifications; - Cuts, etches, belts, and grinds glass coming from the jobber area to ensure finished appearance; - Checks and inspects all parts to determine that all have been finished to appropriate specification; - Opens racks and boxes of glass for use in pre-furnace areas; - Assists in the set up of cutting tables; - Notifies Shift Supervisor of any deviations from standards; - Communicates to all employees proper methods and procedures; - Maintains a high level of house keeping ensuring that all production areas are kept in a clean and orderly fashion; - Maintains safety practices at all times; - Performs other duties as assigned.   REQUIREMENTS - Understanding or ability to gain same in varied pre-furnace areas; - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; - Knowledge of processes involved in manufacturing; - Ability to perform job to acceptable standards.   DIFFICULTY OF WORK The work consists of tasks or duties requiring some previous knowledge and understanding. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Hours of Operation include Mon-Fri 8a-9pm, Saturday – Sunday, until 630pm Eastern Travel: Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day. Preferred Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s Degree - Prior Inside Sales experience - Prior experience working in the RV industry - Management/Leadership experience.
