Summary/Objective

Lippert is looking to add an experienced Graphic Designer to its growing marketing team. This is a dynamic role that will primarily be responsible for art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, promotional materials, packaging, POP, communication media, and other print and digital materials across multiple brands. Candidates should be passionate, energetic, self-sufficient and exhibit ownership of a project from concept to completion. At least three years of previous professional graphic design experience is preferred.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Collaborates with design team, content team, sales, product manager, design manager, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message.
  2. Mastery of industry-standard software to create logos, design reports and complete other projects.
  3. Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
  4. Chooses graphics, branding, and photography, as appropriate.
  5. Produces sample layout for approval by client or other project participants.
  6. Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review.
  7. Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
  8. Prepares print orders and assembly instructions on notification of final approval.
  9. Self-organized: Updates and maintains tasks in the department’s project management system.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

 

Physical Demands

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly talking and listening. This position is not very active when it comes to movement and requires a lot of typing and sitting in a chair.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, salaried position/ 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday- Friday. This position would preferably report to the marketing office in Elkhart but also allows for flexible work from home days.

Travel

Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelors degree required; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
  2. At least five years of related work experience highly preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  5. Organized with attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently on an assignment.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  8. A compelling portfolio with projects showcasing skills that are relevant to your business’s visual content goals.
