Job Description Summary:

This position will analyze the Sales Budget process, sales contracts and business practices. This position will assess pricing process, provide guidance for improvement and assist in managing pricing discipline. This position will perform margin analysis by customer by region and assist in improving margins. This position will provide regular reporting to EVP Sales. This position will assist VP Retail with line review analysis. This position will manage competitive cross references and competitive pricing analysis. This position reports to the EVP Sales. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Job Requirements

  • Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan and strategic financial planning to each sales leader
  • Establish strong relationships with accounting team to ensure focus is maintained on timely pricing changes in order to meet targets and timetables.
  • Review historical product sales, product prices vs market and provide analysis for margin improvement.
  • Provide margin and pricing guidance to Sales team based on customer distribution agreements, company margin and pricing guideline
  • Manage distribution of customer price files and pricing updates
  • Participate in creating consolidated annual sales budget rollup
  • Work with pricing to assist with margin calculations, price loads and maintenance for region and local customers
  • Deliver reporting to maintain price and margin accuracy
  • Assist with evaluation and development of data mining tools related to margin and pricing components needed for price maintenance, margin enhancement initiatives, analytics and compliance
  • Provide competitive line review support to sales as requested
  • Manage competitive cross references
  • Provide ongoing analysis of competitive pricing
  • Create and supply monthly sales reports to EVP by customer by channel for tracking purposes

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: 2 years of related experience within a similar capacity preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Computer Skills: Experienced when in working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Organization Skills: Demonstrated organizational, process and analytical skills; ability to produce accurate and quality work with a fast turn around and a sense of urgency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Accounting Degree or Business Degree
  • Computer Skills: Prior experience with Mapics or AS400 and a proficient level experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Communicates with management, Team Members, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain information and take instructions. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system. Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is also necessary.
