  • Overview

    This critical sales role will be a regional position based out of Texas. This individual will be working directly with distributors and dealers to sell and promote specific products a part of Lippert Components.


    Essential Functions

    1. Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
    2. Adjusting sales presentations to current needs
    3. Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volumes
    4. Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports
    5. Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
    6. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
    7. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    8. Communicating with new and current dealers; formal and informal settings.
    9. Traveling with Distributors and Manufacturing Representatives.
    10. Follow up on retail leads; respond to customers, find prospective deals, follow up with both to close sales
    11. Initiate calls to dealers concerning products and promotions.
    12. Work closely with various departments within the company to develop product literature (displays, designs, ads/newsletters)
    13. Identify potential new products for the designated department/division.
    14. Develop keen understanding for current products.
    15. Travel – local and long distance, attend shows/industry events, visit Distributors and Dealers to present and discuss the Company’s product line.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping.     1. Clerical- Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.  Communicates with management, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and take instructions.  Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.  Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.  Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules. Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is also necessary.



    Travel time will be based on the employee’s responsibility and commitment to various customers. Approximate travel percentage is: Car – 50%, Air – 50% this is dependent upon the region coverage.


    Required Education and Experience

    1. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience (preferable 10+).
    2. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members both verbally and written.
    3. Possess a positive, team oriented attitude.
    4. Strong presentation/public speaking skills.
    5. High attention to detail with a self-starter mentality
    6. Energetic, aggressive, self-motivated
    7. Willing to travel
    8. Manufactured Housing/Residential building product experience preferred, not required
    9. Proven business developer with a track record of continued sales growth


    Work Authorization/Security Clearance

    Must be able to pass EVerify.
